Research iGaming (Pty) Ltd, trading as Research iGaming Group, is the responsible party (as defined in the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013, "POPIA") for personal information collected through researchigaming.com. Where other data protection laws apply, such as the EU or UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), we act as the controller of that information.

Separate platforms we link to, such as academy.researchigaming.com and riexperts.app, may have their own privacy notices.

We collect only the information you choose to provide through our enquiry and partnership forms, which may include:

• Expert enquiry form: name, email address, phone number, primary area of functionality, country, role or title, and your marketing preference.
• Impact Partner form: organisation name, contact person, business email, phone / WhatsApp number, country, ways you would like to contribute, initiatives of interest, and preferred contact method and time.
• Correspondence: any information you include when you email us.

Our forms do not store your details on the Website. When you submit a form, your device prepares an email to info@researchigaming.com containing your details, which you then send from your own email app. We receive the information only once you send that email.

The "Submit Your Initiative" form is hosted by a third-party form provider (Jotform), whose privacy practices also apply when you use it.

Our hosting provider may automatically process technical information, such as IP address, browser type and pages requested, to deliver and secure the Website.

• to respond to your enquiry and discuss our services or partnership opportunities (based on your request and our legitimate interests);
• to send marketing material, only where you have opted in (based on your consent, which you may withdraw at any time);
• to operate, secure and improve the Website (based on our legitimate interests);
• to comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information.

In line with section 69 of POPIA and applicable international rules, we send electronic marketing only with your consent or where otherwise permitted by law. Every marketing message will include a way to unsubscribe, and you can opt out at any time by contacting us.

We may share personal information with service providers who help us operate our business (such as email, hosting and form providers), with Research iGaming Group brands where needed to respond to your enquiry, or where required by law. Service providers must protect your information and use it only on our instructions.

Research iGaming serves an international audience, and our service providers may process information outside South Africa. Where personal information is transferred across borders, we take steps required by section 72 of POPIA and other applicable laws to ensure it receives an adequate level of protection.

We keep personal information only for as long as needed for the purposes described above, or as required by law, after which it is deleted or de-identified.

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure.

Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:

• ask whether we hold your personal information and request access to it;
• ask us to correct, update or delete it;
• object to processing, including for direct marketing;
• withdraw consent at any time, without affecting earlier lawful processing;
• where GDPR or similar laws apply, request restriction of processing or data portability;
• lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

In South Africa, complaints may be submitted to the Information Regulator (inforegulator.org.za). If you are in another country, you may contact your local data protection authority.
